Pollman TARV Tenor c.1865

This Tenor (Baritone) was made by August Pollmann in the 1860's with Top Action Rotary Valves (TARV).  The bell garland is inscribed " Pollmann's Music House, New York".     It is 29 inches tall with a 9 inch bell, and it is a real player- with clear intonation and smooth acting valves.  Note the valve  detail in the photo below the main photo.

This horn was purchased in 2002 by the 10th Illinois Cavalry and is now in regular use in a Civil War re-enactment band.
