Echo Cornet in Bb  c.1975

This is an unmarked Echo Cornet likely made in the second half of the 20th century.  The echo bell is activated by a 4th vertical valve pressed by the left hand.  The echo cornet configuration has been made by various makers since the late 19th century and was intended to permit instantaneous muting.   The horn is finished in rtaw brass and plays easily and   sweetly.
