Bass SARV Trumpet in Bb  c.1885

This beautiful Bb side action rotary valve trumpet  (unmarked) was made in Europe late 19th  century.  I found it hanging on the wall of a colleague's home in Clippan,  Sweden in 1984.  He was an Eb Tenor horn player in the Muscat Brass. It took some heavy persueding, but he finally let me buy it. It was cleaned up and un-dented in 1999 and the true beauty of the instrument then became apparent.  The valves, valve caps mechanical linkage  and other trim is in German silver, The valves work easily and the horn has a great brassy  trombone sound. There is no water key.
