Bass Trumpet in Bb by Conn c.1950
This Bass Trumpet
is pitched an octave below a normal trumpet with a sound similar to
that of a Trombone- but sharper, more like a trumpet. It is a
essentially a cylindrical bore instrument - and has found favor in jazz
ensembles- often played by the trombonist.
