Besson Bass Herald Trumpet  c.1970

A bass herald trumpet is not often seen in the market. This one is 46  inches long- with a screw-in bell section.  It is inscribed: Besson London, Paris, NewYork, but has no serial number. It has a  lacquer finish ad sports two rings to hold a banner. This is not a horn one would want to hold up to ones lips for an extended period!! Luckily it came with a fitted case. It fits a bass trombone mouthpiece.
