Huttl Eb Bass Tuba  c.1900

I only acquired this neat little recording tuba after applying much peer pressure on Dr Hank Meredith - who did the original searching and finding.   I'm sure he regrets giving in to me-  but let's face it - I'm "Mr. E-Flat" and any Eb tuba brought near me is considered fair game!!!

This little tuba is only 37 inches tall with an 18 inch bell -small for a recording tuba configuration.  It is in dire shape as you see it here - especially the bell and body connection and the myriad dents-  but it has the heart of a real tuba and it will live again!!  ("After" pictures to follow)

It was made by Anton Konrad Huttl  (1877-1945) in Graslitz probably around the turn of the century - 1900.   By physically holding together and having a blow- it promised to have a big fat sound......  more to come.  Eat your heart out Hank!!
