Pair 19c English Brass Carriage lanterns

These Brass Carriage oil lanterns are made in Birmingham England by a company called  Powell & Hanmer (partly worn away by Polishing)- with a trade name of Vulture.   They are heavily constructed and have massive mounting brackets.  Each has a faceted red lens in back to serve as a tail light!  The exact date of manufacture is unknown- but they could have been used on very early motorcars.  they are both left side lamps and appear to be readily functional.
Special Sale price:   $250 the pair
