This superb  hanging oil lamp was found in Ceylon (Sri Lanka).  It is made of a special bronze combination- which, when polished, has a distinctive pink  glow.  The three wick holders are stylized dragon heads. It is thought that this lamp once illuminated a Bhuddist temple in the early 18th century.  It remains perfectly functional to this date.
