This unusual brass oil lamp features the Bhuddist Swastika as the top finial.  It is not common knowledge that the swastica was extensively used in South Asia as a Bhuddist symbol- centuries before the rise of Nazism.  The 24 inch high lamp has four burners and the amount of light given off can be effectively adjusted by raising or lowering the lamp by an ornate screw key on the side.  The oil chamber is filled by raising the center top portion of the body.  The finial and the base screw  off the main shaft
