This is a rare and beautiful Turkoman Salor carpet featuring  a double row of Sarouk guls on a deep burgundy field filled with a lattice and square geometric figures.  The pile is clipped low and feels like a fine felt (this is possible only with a carpet of the finest quality and high knot count). There are 5 main borders with intricate geometric detail picked out in pure white outlines.   It is unusual to find an older Salor carpet - especially of this quality.  It is the only Salor I have personally found and owned!!
