This is a rare and unusual antique Caucasian Kelim donkey blanket with an amazing primitive tribal design including animals, people and geometric figures. The colors are bright and the field is an-off-white all-over kelim weave. The cover is not exactly
straight - probably due to different shrinkage during washings.
The blanket would be used in place of- or under a saddle, with
the top thin pieces tied under the animal's head. Scroll down for
